Primary 3b get creative!

The children in primary 3 are focusing on functional writing this term and this week primary 3b wrote a set of instructions for making reindeer hot chocolate cones to sell at our Nativity show.  The children thoroughly enjoyed making their hot chocolate cones, and I am sure you will agree from the photographs, that they did a superb job!

The Vikings are coming!

Primary 3 have been learning about who the Vikings were, where they came from and what they wore.
The boys and girls would like to share some interesting facts with you:-
"They didn't have horns on their helmets" Leona.
"They sailed in longships with a figure head at the front and the back" Libby.
"They weren't all fierce warriors, some were farmers" Leon.
"Viking armour wasn't actually that good, it was made of leather" Dylan.
"I know that Vikings thought that mead, an old drink was medicine" Kara

We have had lots of fun building our longship and making Viking helmets too.

LOOK AT OUR FIERCE VIKING WARRIORS!

We had fun dressing up as Vikings.
