P3 Celebrate World Book Day

Along with the rest of the school (and thousands of other schools around the world!) the children of primary 3 celebrated World Book Day on the 2nd March 2017.  The boys and girls dressed as a character from their favourite book, and I am sure you will agree from the photographs that everyone looked tremendous! So a huge thank you to all of our parents and carers for all of the effort that went into the children's costumes.  The children had a fun-filled day packed with activities to celebrate popular authors, illustrators, books and reading ofcourse! This included a class book hunt, a competition to design a book cover and blurb, a trip to Faifley library to hear stories from the Librarian and paired reading opportunities with some of the primary 6 children from the upper school.  The children thoroughly enjoyed their day and are already looking forward to to the next World Book Day.  Don't forget to redeem your child's book token at participating bookshops for a free book (from a choice of 10 books) or £1 off selected other books.
