Primary 3 Learning Through Play

The children in primary 3 have been exploring our novel study (George's Marvellous Medicine) through play-based approaches to learning.  This approach provides the children with more personalisation and choice in their learning and allows them to develop skills such as communication, problem-solving, creativity and independence in a fun and engaging way.  It also allows the children to make natural links in their learning and apply concepts and skills that have been previous taught in class.  The children have particularly enjoyed being Scientists and having the opportunity to make predictions and carry out experiements in our Science Lab area!

This is the letter that primary 3 received from a Scientist to introduce our exciting new topic and novel study George's Marvellous Medicine!

The children use the Planning Board to select which area they want to learn in.

The children can use the thinking prompts on the wall to plan their activity and review it.

Shaun and Iain are enjoying making potions in our Science Lab area!
